Tidbits

  • Only school to have its own catalog of the art in its buldings.

  • Only seniors upon graduation are allowed to walk up or down the beautiful marble stairs

Tiger.jpg

I attended Greenfield McClain High School from sophomore to senior year and graduated in 1993.

Edward Lee McClain donated the money for the building as part of his vision to provide the latest technology and educational opportunities for local students. As part of the Progressive School Movement, McClain was considered one of the nicest schools in the United States. It has an impressive array of art, murals, statutes, and paintings replicated from antiquity. It has produced luminaries such as Wilfred Konneker, an early pioneer in nuclear medicine.

Ph.D. Candidate

After ten hours of coursework I realized that, while I enjoyed Public Policy (a sub field of Political Science), history, and the humanities side of academic inquiry was a far stronger interest.
