A Survey and Methodological/Historiographical Analysis of Major Works in the History of American Technology

One of my main research interests (and fields in my doctoral program) is the History of Technology. This lens examines the impact of technology on social, political, and cultural history. The paper below is a good introduction to a few landmark works and also contains a brief overview of major developments in the genesis of technology in the United States.

Mission Statement
The over-arching goal of this history course is to provide the desire and tools for each student to become a lifelong history learner by equipping them with the ability to read history, critically acquire historical knowledge through a variety of mediums, and defend historical arguments orally and in writing.
